Developing successful entrepreneurs who know how to grow a business, harness new technologies, and seize opportunities in the marketplace is a longstanding tradition at Clarkson University. The Reh Center for Entrepreneurship, located in Clarkson’s School of Business, builds on that tradition by drawing on the expertise and skills of Clarkson faculty and students to educate and train regional entrepreneurs to successfully receive and manage start-up funding and grow their companies through sound management practices.

Established in 2009 to close the gap between local entrepreneurs and economic growth funding opportunities, the Center supports Clarkson’s longstanding commitment to boost regional economies through small business development. Our center's early beginnings included assisting Northern New York business owners through training, skill development, and hands-on support with programs like My Small Business 101.

By offering necessary education and support and by better preparing candidates to qualify for low-interest loans, we were able to promote the economic growth of the region and serve as a transferable model for regions across the country.

We also provide a fertile training ground for Clarkson University students, who gain firsthand experience and build management, marketing, and financial skills by working with micro-businesses and start-ups across Northern New York.

Currently we offer a portfolio of experiential opportunities for students including the opportinguty to run one of our two student businesses (MoJoe and Entrepreneur Coffee), learning from experts at our workshops, or participating in pitch competitions, the North Country Regional Business Plan competition, our sales challenge, meet-ups, and more!
