After-Arrival Checklist

  • For those living on campus, check-in with Residence Life to pick up your key and get settled in your room. 
  • Graduate Students - settle into your apartment and check-in with your Graduate Program to pick up important orientation information
  • 'International Student Check-In' - all new international students must meet with an international adviser to 'check-in'. Bring your passport/visa - I 20/DS 2019 - and - address in Potsdam if living off-campus
  • Attend all orientation activities


  • Graduate students - meet with your Graduate Program adviser to determine your academic plan
  • Undergraduate students - meet with your Academic Adviser if you have questions on your schedule and or courses enrolled 
  • All students whose first language is not English must be tested for 'ESL' - English as a Second Language. Details will be in your orientation schedule


  • Check your Clarkson email account - this will be your official email during your study at Clarkson University
  • Pick up your CU ID at Campus Safety
  • Open a Bank Account
  • Get a phone - if necessary
  • Complete SAS check-in and pay any outstanding charges
  • Complete any Health Requirements
