Why MI?

In this Section

Peace Corps Master’s International students are inspired and motivated to make a difference by solving real-world problems. They seek out opportunities to work in the developing world, where they might have the opportunity to use their technical and team problem-solving skills to solve problems and develop capacity in others.  The Peace Corps Volunteer experience provides them with the practical experiences of the challenges and satisfactions of doing development work and capacity building that will both ground their academic experience and inspire them. MI students are intentional and thoughtful about their own education – understanding how core STEM knowledge, social science understanding, communication skills, and project management skills are all needed to make a difference in research, tech-transfer, and development work.
