Camp's Barry Receives Apex Award

Dana M. Barry, editor and technical writer at Clarkson University’s Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP), has received an APEX 2001 Award for Publication Excellence. 

Her winning entry was the CAMP Annual Report Newsletter (1999-2000). The award, from Communications Concepts Inc. of Springfield, Va., was based on editorial content and overall communications effectiveness and excellence.

Barry has won six APEX Awards for Publication Excellence.  Her most recent award was the 2001 International Scientist of the Year 2001 (England). Her honors include a mention in “Great Minds of the 21st Century” and “International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women.”  Barry’s biographical sketch is published in Biography Today 2001 (India).  

Barry has been in her current position at Clarkson since 1993. She is currently collaborating on a Science Education project with Professors Hideyuki Kanematsu and Shimofuruya of Suzuka National College of Technology in Japan.  In addition Dr. Barry is a Certified Professional Chemist and an external professor at Ansted University in Malaysia.
