World In Potsdam Diversity Festival Rescheduled For January 2002

The "World in Potsdam" Diversity Festival, originally scheduled for September 2001, has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 27, 2002. The eighth annual "World in Potsdam" Diversity Festival will be held in Clarkson University's Cheel Campus Center throughout the day, preceding Clarkson's Culture Night.

Students, faculty and staff from SUNY Potsdam and ClarksonUniversity will join with residents of the community to bring food, music, dance and hands-on crafts and demonstrations to the festival. The festivities planned for this year will highlight the people and culture of Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, North America and South America. In addition, the festival will welcome a number ofstudent groups along with professional dancers and musicians.

The Festival Committee is working to reschedule the entertainers, speakers and artisans originally booked for the Festival and will announce the new Festival schedule of events as it becomes available.

The "World in Potsdam" Diversity Festival is cosponsored by the Village of Potsdam, SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University. The Sweetgrass Foundation and KeyBank are major contributors toward the event.
