Clarkson's Dana Barry Recognized In New Update Of Prestigious Children's Literature Reference Series

Clarkson University Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP) Technical Writer Dana M. Barry of Canton has been selected for inclusion in an upcoming edition of the preeminent reference series Something About the Author. This series includes biographies and photographs of authors from around the world who have made noteworthy contributions to children’s literature.

Barry’s book Science Fair Projects: Helping Your Child Create a Super Science Fair Project was determined by the series’ editorial committee to be an influential and important book in the field of children’s books. The book received favorable critical attention and generated strong sales since its initial publication in 2000. The full-color book includes science project ideas, practice projects, and problem-solving strategies and activities to help children plan, develop, display and present their projects with confidence and enthusiasm.

Barry’s outstanding career includes over 70 professional publications and six APEX Awards for Publication Excellence.  Her most recent honors include biographical listings in 1,000 Great Scientists and the Dictionary of International Biography, 30th Anniversary Edition, and a certificate of participation for the Mars Explorer Rover 2003 Mission.
