Praised by the Boston Herald for her “conviction, determination and passion,” Del Seamonds entertains audiences as she transports them to foreign places and into multicultural situations to foster a better understanding and appreciation of human and cultural diversity.  An accomplished actor, singer and mime, her magical performances encourage audience participation, enabling listeners to share in the joy of performing and creating.

Del Seamonds is a popular performer who appears at schools, libraries, performing arts centers, and festivals around the country. She is a regular at the Three Apples Storytelling Festival, the Hudson Valley Storytelling Festival, and the Sharing the Fire Annual Storytelling Conference in Boston. She has recently appeared as the keynote performer at the Virginia Storytelling Alliance Gathering and the Conference on Storytelling for Children at Keene State College in New Hampshire.  A recording of her stories, “Kudos for Courage & Kindness,” presents tales of courage and heroic triumphs from around the world.

Each year, the World in Potsdam Diversity Festival brings community members together for an all-day celebration of the cultures and peoples from around the world that highlights diversity while at the same time reinforcing global unity. All festival events are free and open to the public.

The World in Potsdam Diversity Festival is co-sponsored by the Village of Potsdam, Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam. The Sweetgrass Foundation is a major contributor toward the event.
