Clarkson's Rebecca Sutcliffe Named To Editorial Advisory Board Of Premier Professional Journal

Rebecca J. Sutcliffe of Potsdam, director of Research & Curriculum Innovation and Research and assistant professor of Technical Communication at ClarksonSutcliffe University, has been appointed to a three-year term on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM).

AUTM is the premier research, policy, and technical assistance publication for technology transfer professionals at over 300 universities, government agencies and industry. The current advisory board includes members from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, the University of Florida, the University of California, the University of North Carolina, and the Center for Blood Research Institute for Biomedical Research at Harvard University Medical School.

Sutcliffe has managed intellectual property at Clarkson for three years and is responsible for coordinating and facilitating University-wide academic efforts to seek funding from various external agencies and organizations for research and curriculum development programs. She was instrumental in bringing a New York State Office of Science, Technology, and Academic Research Technology Transfer Initiative grant to the University in 2001.

She holds a doctoral degree in English from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, where she was a fellow of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

AUTM is a nonprofit association with membership of more than 3,200 technology managers and business executives. AUTM provides advocacy, professional development, policy guidance, and annually issues its licensing survey, which serves as a guiding force for the profession.
