Clarkson University’s CAMP Editor Co-Authors Science Book In Japan

Dana M. Barry, editor and technical writer at Clarkson University’s Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP), has co-authored a science book published and released in Japan on May 31, 2005. barry_book_2005

Barry has also recently authored a chapter for the new book International Dimensions of Corporate Social Responsibility (Volume II). The chapter is titled “Manage Air Quality to Protect Public Health” The book is published by ICFAI University Press in India (2005). Along with the inclusion of her chapter in the book, Barry’s biographical profile will be listed in the second edition of Distinguished and Admirable Achievers 2005, also published in India.

Barry is an officer of the Northern New York section of the American Chemical Society. She is a certified professional chemist and a member of the National Science Teachers Association. Barry also serves on the editorial review board for The Science Education Review, an international journal published in Australia. She served as a visiting professor in Malaysia (2001), Japan (2002), and England (2003).

Barry has received nine APEX awards for Publication Excellence and other professional honors, including national awards for her Chemical Sensation and World First MarsLink Space Mission programs. She has authored over 100 professional publications, including six books. In addition, Barry also serves as president of the Scientific Board of Ansted University in Malaysia.

CAMP is dedicated to developing research and educational programs in high-technology materials processing, and to transferring newly developed technologies Clarkson University laboratories to business and industry. CAMP receives support from the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research for research and operating expenses as one of 15 Centers for Advanced Technology (CAT). In addition, CAMP-related research receives several million dollars in funding each year from the federal government and private industry.
