Zebedee Appointed Assistant Professor of Economics and Financial Studies in Clarkson University School of Business

Allan A. Zebedee has been appointed assistant professor of economics and financial studies in the Clarkson University School of Business. He will begin teaching this fall.

Zebedee's current research focuses on corporate finance issues, such as initial public offerings, share repurchase programs and secondary market activity for syndicated loans. He has published in the Journal of Financial Markets and has papers forthcoming in Financial Management, the Journal of Financial Markets, and Financial Markets and Portfolio Management. zebedee

Zebedee has presented his work at a number of professional conferences. Most recently, he presented a paper on syndicated loans at the American Finance Association Annual Meeting in Chicago. He has also presented his research at the National Bureau of Economic Research Market Microstructure Conference, Financial Management Association and Western Finance Association Annual Meetings.

Prior to joining Clarkson University's School of Business, Zebedee was an assistant professor in finance at San Diego State University, a visiting lecturer at Case Western Reserve University and a lecturer at Georgetown University. In 2005, he received an award as the most influential faculty member at San Diego State University.

Zebedee worked at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission as a visiting economic fellow in 2005-06. While at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Zebedee contributed to various securities litigation cases by providing economic analysis for the commission's staff attorneys. He also has experience working as a project manger for Xenergy Inc., providing economic consulting services related to energy conservation to electric and gas utilities.
