Save Nov. 8 for 15th Annual World in Potsdam Diversity Festival

Mark your calendars for a day of live music and dancing, exotic foods, and more, when the annual "World in Potsdam" diversity festival kicks off its 15th year on Saturday, November 8, at Clarkson University’s Cheel Campus Center.

Join in bringing together members of the Potsdam community to celebrate the village’s unique and diverse cultural heritage.

Directly after the opening ceremony, the winners of the World in Potsdam Literary Contest will be announced and the winners will read from their works.

From 12:30 to 2:30, festival goers can complement the day’s entertainment by sampling cuisine from around the world.

The main evening concert by World Rhythms will take place at the Downtown Snell Auditorium at 7 p.m. World Rhythm will also perform on Friday, November 7, from 1 to 2 p.m. for scheduled school groups at the Downtown Snell Hall.

Additional performances will go on throughout the day on Saturday, including a World Rhythms performance (1 p.m.), the Crane School of Music Latin Ensemble (2 p.m.), the First Baptist Hand Bell Choir (2:30 p.m.), a cappella performances from the Golden Knotes, the Pointer Counts, and The A-Sharp Arrangements (2:45 p.m.), and student performances from SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University (3:15 p.m.).

The festival and all of its activities are free of charge.
