Sauer Appointed Assistant Professor of Consumer and Organizational Studies at Clarkson University

Stephen Sauer has been appointed assistant professor of consumer and organizational studies at Clarkson University. He will begin teaching later this fall.Sauer Appointed Assistant Professor of Consumer and Organizational Studies at Clarkson University

Sauer received his bachelor of science degree in aeronautical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his master of business administration, master of science in management and his Ph.D. in management and organizations from Cornell University.

His research interests include leadership and influence in teams, interdisciplinary team processes, status in groups, and social decision making.

Before coming to Clarkson, Sauer taught negotiations and managing and leading organizations and was a research assistant at Cornell University. He was also a management consultant for IBM’s strategy and change internal practice and an armored cavalry officer for the U.S. Army.

In 2006, Sauer co-authored "Advances in Group Processes: Social Psychology of the Workplace." He is affiliated with the Academy of Management, the International Association for Conflict Management, the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
