Stahl Appointed Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Clarkson University

Joachim Stahl has been appointed assistant professor of computer science at Clarkson University. He began teaching this fall.

Stahl received his bachelor of science degree in computer science from Augusta State University, and his master of engineering and Ph.D. in computer science Stahl Appointed Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Clarkson Universityand engineering from the University of South Carolina.

His research interests include computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition and machine learning. Current research includes perceptual organization, image segmentation, object detection and recognition and shape matching.

Before coming to Clarkson, Stahl was a teaching assistant at Augusta State University. He has also worked at the University of South Carolina as a teaching assistant, instructor and research assistant.

Stahl has co-authored six publications.
