Her research interests include computational bionanotechnology, computational and theoretical biophysics in particular biochemical sensors, DNA sequencing, biological cell signaling and cell substrate interaction with an emphasis on large scale and multi-scale computations.

Before coming to Clarkson, Gracheva worked as a postdoctoral associate at Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), in the Department of Mathematics at University of Minnesota (Minneapolis), in the Physics Department at Lehigh University, and in the Department of Physics and Technical Application of Superconductivity at MEPhI.

A reviewer for The Journal of Theoretical Biology and The Journal of Computational Electronics, Gracheva has also co-authored 30 publications and was listed in Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, 10th Anniversary Edition, 2008-2009.

Clarkson University crosses the boundaries of disciplines, nations and cultures in order for discovery, engineering innovation and enterprise to come together. As a result, faculty and graduates grasp the full impact of their calling, direct their research to the world’s pressing issues and lead with confidence and distinction. One in seven alumni is already a CEO or other senior executive. Located in Potsdam, N.Y., just outside the six-million-acre Adirondack Park, Clarkson is home to 3,000 students preparing for rewarding careers through 50 rigorous programs of study in engineering, business, arts, science, and health sciences, as well as unparalleled outdoor recreation and life experiences beyond the classroom.
