April 21 Town Hall Forum to Focus the Nation on America’s Energy Challenge

Local residents will again join with citizens across America for Focus the Nation, a day of education and dialogue on America’s energy challenge and how best to address it.

A solutions-oriented, nonpartisan town hall forum on all issues related to energy will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Potsdam High School Auditorium.

Students in Clarkson University’s Environmental Conservation Organization and New York Water Environment Association are organizing the community event, which this year takes the theme of "seizing the opportunities of the new energy economy - together."

Panelists will include Greg Hart, regional director of the North Country chapter of the Workforce Development Institute; Ann Heidenreich, executive director of Community Energy Services; Abigail Lee, Potsdam Village Trustee; and Michael Ryan, president and CEO of North Bay Technology Development, LLC.

Clarkson Professor Bill Vitek will moderate a community discussion after the panel presentations.

You can submit questions for the town hall forum at .

This forum is part of a week-long series of community events focused on developing new energy opportunities that will bring together leaders from the business, academic, and public sectors to address solutions to our energy challenges.
