Clarkson University’s Dana Barry Receives Awards

Dana M. Barry, senior technical writer and editor at Clarkson University’s Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP), has received an award for publication excellence and an award for her distinguished contributions and exemplary achievements.Clarkson University’s Dana Barry Receives Awards

Barry received an APEX 2009 Award for Publication Excellence from Communications Concepts Inc., in Springfield, Va. She received the 2009 award in the category of newsletters - print.

This is the 14th consecutive time that Barry has won this honor, which is based on editorial content and overall communications effectiveness and excellence.

Her winning entry, the "CAMP Annual Report Newsletter 2007-2008," faired extremely well in the exceptionally intense competition. There were about 3,800 entries in the competition and 1,158 Awards of Excellence were distributed in 122 subcategories of 11 major areas.

Barry was also awarded an honorary plaque from Premiere Who’s Who for her distinguished contributions to the business/educational community and for her exemplary achievements.

In addition, Barry was recently selected for inclusion in the World Who’s Who of Women (15th Edition by the International Biographical Centre, England, 2009) and in the publication titled 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century (2010).

Barry is scientific board president of Ansted University, a certified professional chemist, and has served as a visiting professor in Malaysia (2001, 2004, and 2007), England (2003) and Japan (2002, 2005, and 2008).

She has numerous honors and professional publications. Also, she is collaborating with Prof. Hideyuki Kanematsu of Japan, on an ambitious program to promote creative thinking at the international level.
