Robert Campbell Elected Clarkson University Trustee

Robert A. Campbell of Highland Park, Texas, and Grantham, N.H., retired regional managing partner & CEO of Deloitte Asia Pacific, has been elected to Clarkson University’s board of trustees. He will serve on the audit and academic affairs committees.

Robert A. CampbellA native of Lachute, Quebec, Campbell received his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Clarkson in 1961. He earned an MBA in finance from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1966 and became a Certified Public Accountant in New York State in 1968.

He began his career with Deloitte (then Touche Ross & Co) in Montreal upon graduation from Clarkson in 1961. Campbell became a partner in 1975. Over the years, he held professional and leadership roles in Montreal, Rochester, Tokyo, Milwaukee, Dallas, U.S. headquarters and throughout the Asia-Pacific Region.

His community activities have included advisory roles for Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business, Marquette University's Department of Accounting and Clarkson's School of Business.

Campbell has served on the boards of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Milwaukee and of Dallas, Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, the American School in Japan, the Greenhill School of Dallas and the Arthritis Foundation National Board.

Campbell and his wife, Cynthia, a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, spend their winters in Dallas, Texas, and summers in Grantham, N.H. They have three children and six grandchildren.
