This residential camp is an academically stimulating program where teams are given a real-world problem to solve and then the opportunity to present their solutions to a group of Clarkson and community panelists.

Associate Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering Jim Carroll and his students from the Northern New York Robotics Academy are hosting a weeklong Robotics Day Camp for commuters from July 6 to 10 for students entering grades four through 12. Students will participate in an all-new Minecraft-inspired challenge, using LEGO MINDSTORM kits and 3-D printers to compete in an action-packed tournament at the end of the week.

A Robotics Overnight Camp is offered from Aug. 2 to 8 for students entering grades nine through 12. Participants will learn all about programming, mechanical design, CAD, custom sensor building, electronics and virtual worlds, then use that knowledge while working in teams to build their own robot and compete in a culminating tournament.

The MythOlympics Training Camp is a competitive, scholarship-based program from July 19 to 22 packed with team-based activities, demonstrations and myth-busting challenges similar to the MythBusters television show. Up to 20 rising freshmen, sophomores and juniors from the North Country will be selected as "MythOlympians in Training" and receive a scholarship to cover the full costs of the residential camp.

Horizons I and II are designed for seventh and eighth grade female students interested in science, technology, engineering or math. The program boasts an exciting and educational experience full of hands-on projects and team building exercises and students must be nominated by someone from their school in order to participate. Week one of the residential camp will be held from July 12 to 17, and week two will be held from July 19 to 24.

Horizons III builds on the first two programs and is designed for female students who have already participated in Horizons I and II. Week one of the residential camp will be held from July 11 to 17, and week two will be held from July 18 to 24.
