Clarkson University Welcomes Strosberg as Professor of Healthcare Management

Clarkson University has welcomed Martin Strosberg as a professor of healthcare management.

Martin StrosbergStrosberg was previously a faculty member at Union Graduate College (UGC), which merged into Clarkson in February. He is based at Clarkson's Capital Region Campus in Schenectady, N.Y., the former UGC.

He is also a professor of bioethics in the Clarkson University- Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Bioethics Program and serves as a research professor in the Department of Political Science at Union College. He is a recipient of the Presidential Faculty Award from Union Graduate College.

His areas of academic interest include healthcare management, public policy, organization theory, and bioethics.

Strosberg has published many peer-reviewed articles, professional papers, book chapters, columns and book reviews. For the past 10 years, he has served as co-director of the Advanced Certificate Program in Research Ethics in Central and Eastern Europe, funded by the National Institutes of Health.

Before his current positions, Strosberg served as director of the Health Systems Administration program and director of the Graduate Management Institute at Union College, and as an associate professor at the Graduate School of Public Administration and College of Business and Public Administration at New York University.

He also served as a senior program analyst in the Office of The Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Strosberg received his bachelor of arts degree in political science from Union College, and his master of arts in public administration and his master of public health in health administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He received his Ph.D. in public administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
