Weiling Ke Promoted to Full Professor at Clarkson University

Clarkson University President Tony Collins has announced that Weiling Ke has been promoted from associate professor to full professor of operations & information systems in the School of Business. Promotion to professor is considered to be virtually the highest honor that a university can bestow upon its faculty.

Weiling KeKe’s research covers a broad range of related topics with a strong focus on the implementation and diffusion of IT-enabled innovations. She has published her work in many top operations management and information systems journals. Her research and development efforts have garnered funding from the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong and Natural Science Foundation of China.

She has served as a member of numerous conference committees and has chaired many tracks/sessions at premier international conferences. She has also served on multiple journal editorial boards, including serving as an associate editor for information systems journals such as Decision Support Systems and Information & Management.

Ke teaches courses in accounting information systems, business analytics, database management, database application development, and information systems. She also led groups of students in visiting Asia and demonstrated different aspects of Asia and how culture affects business practices. In addition, she has advised graduate students who have started successful careers in their profession, including Ph.D. students who are now faculty members at top universities in China.

She joined the School of Business in 2004. Ke received her bachelor of arts degree in economics from Xiamen University, master of science in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and her master of science degree in computer science and information systems and Ph.D. in information systems from the National University of Singapore.
