CUSA Pre-Orientation Experience

In this Section

The CUSA pre-orientation experience and trip allows students to move in four days early and get a jump start on becoming a leader at Clarkson. The experience will consist of three days at Clarkson and a full day trip to Ottawa, Canada. In Ottawa, we will tour the Canadian Parliament, Canadian Museum of History, and Royal Canadian Mint, check out local parks, and spend some time at the world famous ByWard Market.  At Clarkson, we will hold leadership workshops, check out downtown Potsdam, and play some games to get to know each other.

This trip is a great way to meet new friends in a smaller setting before the main orientation kicks off. The cost of CUSA’s pre-orientation trip is only $100. This cost covers a picnic lunch on Monday for students and up to two guests, all meals starting Tuesday morning through brunch on Friday, transportation to/from Ottawa, and all activities. Students may want to bring money for shopping at ByWard Market.

To register for CUSA’s pre-orientation trip, please go to this link: https://knightlife.clarkson.edu/form/start/129280.  Shortly after registration, you will receive an email with payment information. Note that a U.S. Passport or N.Y.S. enhanced identification is required for all students participating in this trip.

The trip is coordinated and hosted by the CUSA executive board.  Contact CUSA Public Relations Director Phillip Nackley at nackleps@clarkson.edu with any questions.
