During the 13 years since we embarked on Clarkson's “Evolution to Excellence,” we have seen significant successes. As we continue to evolve our next steps in service excellence, we are building on our already strong culture of service and personal attention.

Through training and development, we are providing each employee with the tools and knowledge to create a best-in-class student experience that assures a lifetime connection to the University.  

A cross-departmental Service Excellence Leadership Team is leading this effort and involving all departments on campus. Many of you have already taken part in workshops to find out more about our new Service Philosophy and Service Standards, and to share your input on ways to deliver excellent service.

Our Service Philosophy defines what we want students and stakeholders to experience during any encounter with our faculty and staff. It is: “We build better futures by delivering personal and exceptional service in every interaction.”

Service Standards to be Safe, Courteous, Responsive and Collaborative have also been developed to assure consistent, clear standards of engagement.

I am fully committed to this endeavor and look forward to your participation as we make service excellence an integral part of our culture and further differentiate the Clarkson experience.
