No support for private foundations, religious organizations, fraternal, social, trade, veterans', or labor organizations, or regional or statewide organizations not of benefit to Verizon Wireless customers or employees.

No grants to individuals, or for continuing support, contests, mass mailings, trips or tours, endowments, capital campaigns, memorials, books, magazines, or articles in professional journals, advertising, film or video production, or political campaigns or issues.

Verizon Foundation funding priorities focus on: Healthcare for women, children and seniors; STEM Education for K-12 youth, Energy Management and Domestic Violence Education & Prevention.


Grants range from $500 to $700,000


$20,000 (2015) Waianae’s Kamaile Academy The funds will help launch a new classroom technologies program focusing on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

$65,000 (2015) Safe at  Home (SAH) Margaret’s Place offers stu­dents a “safe room” in schools to talk to each other and a pro­fes­sional coun­selor about violence-related issues.
