The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is committed to alleviating the suffering caused by mental illness by awarding grants that will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research.

LIMITATIONS

  • 100% of contributions for research go directly to research. Costs for administration and fund raising are underwritten by outside grants.

  • Strategic partnerships that further our mission will be developed with transparency.
  • Better treatments and breakthroughs come from scientific discovery.

Granted over $328 million worldwide to more than 3,700 scientists

Grants range from $60,000 over a two-year period, or $30,000/year to $100,000 over a two-year period, or $50,000/year.

SELECTED GRANTS

$100,000 The NARSAD Distinguished Investigator Grant provides support for experienced investigators (full professor or equivalent) conducting neurobiological and behavioral research. A one-year grant of $100,000 is provided for established scientists pursuing innovative projects in diverse areas of neurobiological research.
