Clarkson University B-School Dean Named Deans Association Officer

Clarkson University School of Business Dean Dayle M. Smith was recently elected by her peers as first vice president and program chair for the Northeast Business Deans Association (NEBDA) at their annual conference.

Dayle M. SmithNEBDA is the regional association of collegiate business programs offered by colleges and universities in the northeast United States. The association is affiliated with AACSB International, but operates independently.

NEBDA sponsors an annual conference, bringing together deans and associate deans of colleges of business to discuss challenges, best practices and opportunities through a rich program of academic and corporate speakers, networking opportunities and discussions around continuously improving business education.  

Smith has been dean of the School of Business since July 2013. She was previously a professor of management at the University of San Francisco's McLaren School of Business and held a number of leadership roles during her 20-year tenure at the institution, including director of the Business Honors Program.

She holds a doctoral degree in organizational communication and organizational behavior from the University of Southern California, and has also taught at the University of Southern California and Georgetown University.
