Clarkson University and Protoscale Inc. Announce Commercialization Partnership

Clarkson University's Shipley Center for Innovation and Protoscale Inc. have entered into a collaboration agreement to accelerate the commercialization of discovery-driven Clarkson innovations into the marketplace.

To continue the mission of accelerating the commercialization of discovery-driven Clarkson University innovations into the marketplace, Clarkson and Protoscale Inc. have entered into a collaboration agreement.

The collaboration will offer expanded services beyond the University and into the contract manufacturing landscape.
   
"I am excited to be partnered with the Shipley Center for Innovation at Clarkson to help bright entrepreneurs bring great inventions into the marketplace," said Steve Davis, President of Protoscale. “The strong campus resources at Clarkson for creating proof of concept prototypes partner well with the expertise of Protoscale to finalize and procure commercial prototypes with manufacturers with a focus on scalability."
 
Protoscale logoProtoscale presented to startup companies working with the Clarkson Shipley Center. Afterwards, one-on-one meetings were held to discuss their specific challenges and needs.
 
“The ability to expand the innovation ecosystem of the North Country and New York State into scaling of successful startups utilizing regionalized manufacturing capacity and expertise is the next key step in driving ideas to market with a focus on impacting economic development," said Matt Draper, Executive Director of the Shipley Center for Innovation. "Protoscale provides startups with access to expertise and guidance that would take them months or years to identify and connect with, thereby accelerating the commercialization process and speeding up market entry.”
