Clarkson University's Nyeck to Speak in Senegal on Colonial Outsourcing in Africa

The Council for the Development of Social Science Research (CODESRIA) has invited Clarkson University Assistant Professor of Political Science S.N. Nyeck to present her work on government outsourcing in Africa during its general assembly meeting in Dakar, Senegal, in early June.

S.N. NyeckNyeck’s communication is titled “Contractual Schemes in Africa’s Political Development: Conceptualizing Old Practices and Establishing Relevance with New Governance Models in the 21st Century.” Her presentation is a chapter from a book project on the political economy of government outsourcing and state formation in Africa. Nyeck will attend the general assembly with the sponsorship of CODESRIA.

CODESRIA was established in 1973 as an independent, pan-African research organization, primarily focusing on social sciences research in Africa. It is recognized not only as the pioneer and the largest African social research organization, but also as the apex non-governmental center of social knowledge production on the continent.
Nyeck's research focuses on government outsourcing, gender and sexuality in Africa.
