Clarkson University Wins Two Digital Marketing Awards

The Clarkson University Office of Marketing & External Relations has received two honors for its social media content from the annual Education Digital Marketing Awards.

EDMAClarkson's Facebook page was named a Silver Winner and the University's Twitter feed (@ClarksonUniv) was named a Merit Winner. A national panel of industry specialists with the Education Digital Marketing Awards reviewed social media accounts run by universities throughout the country to select the top sites.

“This is the kind of recognition that everyone in the greater Clarkson community can take credit for achieving, because we all have so many great stories, initiatives and ideas to share every day,” said Kelly Chezum, vice president for external relations. “As part a larger Web redevelopment strategy launched several years ago, our media teams set out to facilitate more interactive channels for our community members to authentically share and engage people in the Clarkson experience. The growth in participation in social media has been remarkable and has given us all a tremendous feedback loop to the ongoing evolution to excellence of our programs.”  

The Education Digital Marketing Awards recognizes the best educational websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media. Certificates were awarded to entrants whose programs and materials displayed exceptional quality, creativity and message effectiveness.
