Clarkson University students will start a business in just 72 hours during a 3 Day Startup (3DS) campus workshop next month.

3DSThe Reh Center for Entrepreneurship in Clarkson's School of Business is hosting the workshop, which will take place Friday, Oct. 2, to Sunday, Oct. 4, in the Andrew S. Schuler Educational Resources Center atrium (#16 on the map at http://www.clarkson.edu/about/clarkson_map.pdf).

A 3DS facilitator will lead participants through brainstorming, team selection, business model generation, execution and pitching. Community members are invited to attend and network at the culminating pitch event on Sunday, Oct. 4.

"The 3 Day Startup program is an intense hands-on opportunity for students of all majors to learn the entrepreneurial process,” said Erin Draper, director of the Reh Center for Entrepreneurship. "A strong group of mentors has volunteered to help participants validate their ideas and move from concepts to early stage prototypes. This experience will serve as the foundation for approximately seven to nine startups that we will continue to support and grow."

3 Day Startup is a nonprofit organization that supports entrepreneurial programs at universities around the world. Globally, the 3DS program has launched 79 companies that have collectively raised $49 million in investment capital.
