Clarkson University Welcomes Lambrinos as Professor of Economics

Clarkson University has welcomed James Lambrinos as a professor of economics.

James LambrinosLambrinos was previously a faculty member at Union Graduate College (UGC), which merged into Clarkson in February. He is based at Clarkson's Capital Region Campus in Schenectady, N.Y., the former UGC.

Lambrinos has 60 publications in the fields of medical economics, the economics of disability, the economics of education, forensic economics and, more recently, in sports economics. He has published in journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of the American Medical Association, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Sports Economics, Applied Economics, and the Journal of Economic Education.

He has also written books in the area of forensic economics and is a current editorial board member for the Journal of Forensic Economics.

Lambrinos was a faculty member from 1979 at Union College and then at Union Graduate College until the merger.

He received his bachelor of arts degree in economics and mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He received his master of arts degree and his Ph.D., both in economics, from Rutgers University.
