Spencer ThewThew teaches courses in construction engineering management (CEM) and was the former director of the CEM program at Clarkson.

"It was classes with Spence that turned me on to construction inspection," Titus said as he presented the award. "Spence was a key leader in this committee for many years and I am honored to follow in his footsteps."

Thew received a plaque commemorating his years of service with ASTM International.

"Thank you for this recognition," Thew said. "It was an honor to serve on this committee and make an impact on standards in construction for years to come."
