Crisis Services

If you require immediate assistance please call campus safety at (315) 268-6666 or call 911.

Health: room
Life threatening health crisis should present directly to the nearest emergency room and, depending on the severity of the presenting complaint, may require transport by ambulance.

For non-life threatening concerns a student may come in during walk in hours or call to make an appointment with a medical provider.  In an emergency you will be seen as soon as possible.  SHAC will make every effort to see students in a timely manner.  If you feel that your need to be seen is an emergency or requires immediate care please communicate this clearly with the front office staff so that this need can be evaluated.

During normal business hours, counseling services has crisis hours set aside for individuals who need to be seen the same day.  If an individual needs to be seen immediately, due to a crisis situation, a counselor will be made available.  Counselors are on call 24/7 at the request of campus safety and the area coordinators.  If a student wishes to speak with a counselor after hours about a confidential and/or sensitive issue they can make a request to either the area coordinators or to a campus safety officer and only need to indicate that they need to speak with a counselor regarding a confidential matter.  No further information need be divulged.
